A shampoo bar might look like an ordinary soap bar but it is in fact 100% soap free. Instead, it contains ingredients to care for your scalp and hair. A shampoo bar is a concentrated shampoo where you add the water as you wash your hair instead of the water being shipped around the planet. A standard shampoo bottle may contain 80% water.

Wet your hair thoroughly. Apply the bar directly to the hair with a few swipes. Then work up a lather. Alternatively you can use your hands to create a luxurious lather and then apply to your scalp. Once massaged through your hair, wash thoroughly. Rinse and repeat if desired.
To make sure your shampoo bar lasts for as long as possible, try to keep it dry between washes. I store mine in my shower caddy with drainage, away from the water. Or store it outside of the shower. Once dry, you can pop it back in the box to bring with you on your travels. Don’t store wet bars in tins.
No, not at all. The Elisabeth 33 classic shampoo bar will work straight away. It lathers beautifully. Remember to wet your hair thoroughly as you provide the water for the shampoo instead of it being shipped around the planet.
Our shampoo bar is 100g and usage will determine how long it lasts. You need less product than you would expect as the shampoo bar is quite concentrated. A shampoo bar may compare to two or even three shampoo bottles, and there is no plastic waste to throw away afterwards.
It really depends on your hair type. Currently we are not offering a conditioner (we are working on it but it has to be just right 😊) so simply follow with your favourite conditioner.

Yes, the fragrance was very important to get right. We worked with a perfumer and the scent was then mixed in Grasse. The fragrance in the Elisabeth33 shampoo bar is IFRA safe.
The shampoo bars are made in the UK.
The ridged boxes are made from recycled cardboard from Iggesund in Sweden and covered in FSC-certified paper. The boxes are then cut and put together, partly by hand, in the UK.

YES! The shampoo bar is really moisturising, it contains creamy mango butter and skincare grade cloudberry extract.
